The YOUTH JUSTICE COALITION/Free L.A.High School is working to build a youth-led movement to challenge race, gender and class inequality in the Los Angeles County juvenile injustice system.

2. Youth Speak! Collective
Youth Speak Collective (YSC), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, is a youth-driven initiative empowering low-income communities in the Northeast San Fernando Valley with the skills necessary to pursue higher education and create strong communities.

Community Coalition is a non-profit social justice organization working towards changing the social and economic conditions that foster addiction, crime and violence in South LA. For nearly 20 years, the Coalition has been bringing African American and Latino residents together to improve the quality of life in South LA.

9. BUS RIDERS UNION

Recognized nationally for its historic civil rights Consent Decree and signature creative tactics, the Bus Riders Union is a multiracial dynamo of 200 active members, 3,000 dues-paying members, and 50,000 supporters on the buses of L.A. The BRU has literally saved public transportation in Los Angeles and become the country's largest grassroots mass transit advocacy organization. From our focus on mass transit, the BRU carries out a wide, multi-issue progressive agenda based in comprehensive principles of unity and strong membership agreement.

Do Something Clubs are for high schools that want to take action around any cause they care about. Clubs are free and receive grants to do community service projects in their local area.

12. LEGACY LA
Established in 2007, Legacy LA operates in an old 55,000 sq ft armory in the East LA community of Ramona Gardens. Legacy keeps kids safe from gangs and violence. Our programs engage and empower youth to DREAM BIG and be leaders in their lives, their homes & their community.

13. ONE IMAGINATION
One Imagination is a community organization and artist collective based in Long Beach, South Bay/Harbor, and South Los Angeles. We promote artistic expression, we create spaces for empowerment, education, and connection, and we organize for change.

14. FREE TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION COURSES FOR YOUTH
The David Lynch Foundation provides funding for schools that offer children in grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to learn the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program as part of a whole school,
twice-daily, morning and afternoon, Quiet Time session.
